A Soldiers Burden is an unique experience to acknowledge the sacrifice members of the US military are currently making being away from the family and friends. Some of our members of the military are on there 3rd, 4th and even 5th deployment to Iraq and/or Afghanistan, missing anniversaries, birthdays, childhood milestones and even their childrens birth. This piece has been created by Lyle Dillie, an Army veteran, with photos and sounds to create multiple videos on the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, an original musical score in 5.1 Stereo Surround Sound and hand painted visages of modern American Soldiers and Marines.
How can I Help?
Please help me find the photos I need to continue updating this piece. I have created a book along with the slideshow to showcase the landscape of the desert and visions of war from a distance. Visions of the country of Iraq and Afghanistan from the soldiers point of view. I need pictures of the landscape, cities, villages and images of explosion and war. This could include or not include military equipment (as long as it does not interfere with operational security).
I want to give proper credit to the original photographers of all the photos submitted. To do this I will be creating a 7 minutes slideshow/video and a book to go side by side with the piece highlighting the photographers and the photos information given about them.
If you or your loved ones have photos that you would like to let me use.
Please submit them via the following link:
